Snow Day

On Friday snow, actual snow fell. down on to the ground in AUSTIN TEXAS. “No school!” That’s what I’m hearing as I wake up from my sister’s friend, Lena. When she comes in and wakes me up.

Yes! half asleep I scrambled out of my bed down stairs. “Is school really canceled?” I ask my mom, very excited while looking out side at a white-icy-cold-substance that I never see.

“Yep no school today.” Great I think while my mom was still in the middle of her sentence.

Later that day l went down the hill on my blue-trash-can-shaped-sled to see if my friend Margaret was free. We both went and sledded down the hill for a while. I got off my sled and just let it slide down the hill for a while laughing about how it was just sledding down the hill. “No, it’s going to go down the gutter,” Margaret shout and then… Gosh it went in and I couldn’t get out anymore.

My mom suggested to go look in this graveyard of pipes to see if it went down. Of course with my luck it wasn’t there. We both went the back way through some woods and over a very slick icy bridge. There in the woods was a broken trampoline with two big gaping holes on the side. I went on and every time I jumped or walked a little, the ice-snow would break into sheets and go to the middle. Crack, crack, crack– that’s what I heard every time. At first it sounded and felt like it was going to rip. Every time I moved, my eyes bulged and opened wide thinking that something would happen then I would relax.

A little while later we made Olaf and it stood forever, and then at the very last second he fell and broke! Oh no I think it took forever. I was hoping that we could still fix it but by now I wasn’t sure. “Please. Please. I don’t want to remake him,” I thought to my self.

” Yes, finally, WE DID IT.” I said as he sat there. It was quite an impressive Olaf, if I do say so myself.

The weather SUMMER

The scrorching hot sun in my eyes. Burning my bear feet on the concrete on the way to the pool. My melting ice cream cone in my hands.

There in the heat of July I dash into the pool to cool down. My mom lyed there sleeping on the chair with her book face down on her chest. While my brothers, sisters, friends, and I all splash around in the pool.

“Marco,”calls my sister covering her eyes.

“Polo!” We all shout back.

That day was record breaking temperature 103!!! , hottest day of the season. So hot I fact that when I got out of the pool I was dry with in 3 minutes. By the sun absorbing all of the water.

Gale

Gale

Lonely is a cloudy gray

and it tastes like bread broken for one

It smells like coal dust in the mine

It feels like running with no one else there

and it sounds like the reaping carrying out

a crying Prim

It looks like an empty table with a dull look on your face

Lonely is silent woods far away from the city

The basket ball team

“Where are the team why I haven’t they posted yet,” these thought crowding my mind while waiting to see what team I make I text everyone on the WRMS girls basketball team if they know and none of them do. It seems like others already know there team.Ancously I ask if anyone know how to find out on Instagram and someone said they were up earlier but then got taken down.

20 minutes later at 7:00 3 hours later I check and there still not there I’m so mad because I was on the border of being on A and B team and during practice they new what team everyone would make but me. Although I herd rummers about what team I made but I wouldn’t believe anyone till I saw the teams for my self.

Finally at 7:30 about the teams were posted and I made it A team all the way I was so excited but still sad that my friends had made B team.

America’s Veterans

The red, white, and blue banner across the sky with the 50 stars and 13 stripes standing for our freedom and stand for so many different things that can’t be explained. America the beautiful has all different things and views to look at. There’s the Golden Gate Bridge, the Statue of Liberty that was for our alliance with France.

One of the most important things that make our country successful is all the different branches in the military fighting for freedom each and every day risking their lives not knowing if they will be there tomorrow. Each and every one of them is a real hero moving to a base away from their family, belongings and home town to fight for America.

The time I fell off the Monkey Bars

I thought I would never stop crying that afternoon when it happened. There was a loud yelp when my face slammed into the ground. When I fell face showed confusion for a split second wondering what just happened…Then the tears from my eyes just started coming as if it suddenly started to rain. There was so much commotion when it happened. One minute everyone was playing and the next they were crowding me to see if I was alright.

My friend Grace Hood and I were playing on the monkey bar showing off trying to see who could do more flip and turns, when it happened I took a great big flip and lost grip of the bars. The gravity pulled me to the ground with a loud thump onto my face. There I was laying there dumfounded with the metal monkey bars above me and the teachers on duty, and all my friends huddling around me with there worried faces. I knew the question they held inside them that they were trying to hold in. Are you ok? While the tears poured out of my eyes with an annoyingly loud whimper coming out of my mouth; over powering the almost silent questions from my friends. while I thought to my self what just happened? When I tasted the blood in my mouth and suddenly I could answer my own question; I just fell off and knock my 2 front teeth out. Even though I felt scared and was in great pain I still felt brave for getting up and going to the nurse.

I will never forget the time I fell off those monkey bars and how frightened and scared I was from the event. That was along time ago all the way back in kinder garden but to this day it is still the most painful thing that has ever happened to me. Going through that it thought me how much people do care about your safety.

The Time I Fell Off the Monkey Bars

Bang I fell to the ground with a loud thump onto my face. Suddenly the tears poured out of my eye, while my friends rush over to ask if I’m ok. Ouch I lied there with monkey bars a above me morning with pain. Laying there I thought to my self, what just happened? When I tasted the blood in my mouth and suddenly I could answer my own question, I just fell off the bar and knocked my 2 front teeth out.

First Day Of Camp

First day of camp
Into the crowd,of anxious summer staff,
Sprinting over to the trampolines,
At the Gaga Pit before the ball,
Towards the door,
One steep closer to the dinner hall,
On the path to the dinner hall,
To the Pavilion,
For small group chat,
Down to the cabins,
For a good night sleep.
Go have fun

The Pit

The pit is the best time  of the whole year! The halls were filled with people wearing there blue game day shirts. The pit is a fun place to go hang out with your friends on a Friday during the football season, while showing your Chap spirt. At the pit all my friend from  Hill Country or just in other grades are there to talk as well. At the pit there is so much junk food to get hyper on and bye, that by the end of the night you cant 1 yard with out seeing food on the ground. that you cant I love the pit its so fun. The other night as we won the game in the last 5 minutes, we all ran out on the field all proud  with are best friends. The pit was great and I’m so existed for the next one.😀
